Biathlon: Océane Michelon fifth overall and best U23
It was in the final race that it all came down to the wire. While Jeanne Richard was leading the best U23 classification with a 24-point advantage over Océane Michelon before the closing mass-start, the Montblanc native lost her entire lead.
Fifteenth at the finish when her compatriot was fourth, she let Océane Michelon (760) finish the winter in the lead and lift the trophy for the best U23. Jeanne Richard (755) just missed out by 5 lengths, while Selina Grotian (640) and Maren Kirkeeide (548) followed.
Océane Michelon thus becomes the first Frenchwoman to win this specific ranking and succeeds Dzinara Alimbekava (2021) and Elvira Oeberg (2022, 2023, 2024).
