Biathlon: historic victory for Les Bleus in the Nations Cup rankings
Never before has the French men’s biathlon team won the crystal globe at the Nations Cup. After finishing runner-up to Russia in 2012 and then Norway in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, it had come close on several occasions.
This winter, the French managed to lead the rankings at the start of the season, regularly outstripping their best Norwegian rivals. In the end, the French team led by Simon Fourcade and Jean-Pierre Amat ended the World Cup season in the lead, lifting the small cup into the Oslo sky after the sprint finals.

A total of seven athletes took part in this Nations Cup, a specific hierarchy taking into account the three best results in sprints and individuals as well as relay results: Emilien Jacquelin, Eric Perrot, Oscar Lombardot, Antonin Guigonnat, Emilien Claude, Quentin Fillon-Maillet and Fabien Claude.
With a total of 9,002 points, the French beat the Norwegians (8,842), the Swedes (7,862) and the Germans (7,689) in the final rankings.
