This Thursday afternoon, the IBU published a press release in which it explained that the programme for Sunday 23 March, for the biathlon world cup finals in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), had been modified after consultation with the athletes’ committee.
“It has been decided to swap the mass-start competitions, it says. The women will now compete first from 1.15pm and then the men will take to the track at 3.40pm. This change has been decided to maximise the attention paid to the women’s mass-start and the battles for the globes, but also to ensure a fitting farewell for Tarjei and Johannes Thingnes Boe.”
