Biathlon: globes awarded this week in Oslo-Holmenkollen
At the biathlon world cup finals scheduled for this weekend in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), the various crystal globes up for grabs throughout the 2024/2025 winter season will be awarded. In all, seventeen trophies will be lifted into the Norwegian skyfollowing the flower ceremonies for the six scheduled races.
Nordic Magazine has obtained the IBU’s precise schedule for the presentation of the various globes throughout the weekend. On Friday, the small globes for the sprint, the individual and then the nations’ cup will be awarded to the various winners at the end of the sprints.
After the pursuits on Saturday, the small globes for the pursuit and then the relay will be awarded. In addition, the globe for the mixed events will be awarded to Sweden, the winning nation in the classification concerned, after the women’s pursuit scheduled for late afternoon.
Finally, on Sunday, following each mass start, the prize-giving schedule will be as follows: trophy for the best U23, small globe for the mass-start and large globe for the overall classification.
