Biathlon: another hat-trick for Quentin Fillon-Maillet
In the history of the men’s biathlon World Cup, the French team, since winning the sprint in Oberhof (Germany) on Friday, hasachieved the treble on just three occasions. What do they have in common? The presence of Quentin Fillon-Maillet from the Jura.

The first time was on 4 December 2019 and it was a quadruple win in the individual event in Östersund (Sweden). Martin Fourcade (19/20) won ahead of Simon Desthieux (19/20), Quentin Fillon-Maillet (17/20) and Emilien Jacquelin (18/20).

His second hat-trick came on 14 March 2020, at the end of the same winter. On that day, Catalan Martin Fourcade (17/20), in the covid silence of the pursuit in Kontiolahti(Finland), ended his immense career with one last success. He was followed by Quentin Fillon-Maillet (18/20) and Emilien Jacquelin (16/20).

Third and then second, Grandvallier Quentin Fillon-Maillet climbed another place on Friday 10 January 2025 as Les Bleus completed their third World Cuphat-trick . A brilliant 10/10 winner in the Oberhof sprint, he was ahead of Fabien Claude (10/10) and Emilien Jacquelin (9/10).
