17:28. Winner of the men’s sprint at the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund (Sweden) on Saturday afternoon, Norway’s Johan-Olav Botn has kept his yellow bib. Having worn it brilliantly for the first time, he will be wearing it again on Sunday in the pursuit.
With 180 points, he leads the field by 30 points from Martin Uldal (150) , while Sebastian Samuelsson (115) is third, ahead of Sturla Holm Lægreid (105) and Sivert Guttorm Bakken (96). Quentin Fillon-Maillet (91), the first Frenchman, is sixth.
Johan-Olav Botn will also wear the red bib as leader of the speciality next Friday at the sprint inHochfilzen (Austria). Finally, Isak Frey (32) takes the blue bib as best U23 rider ahead of Jakob Kulbin (29) and Vitalii Mandzyn (17).
