Biathlon: time for the men’s sprint in Östersund

Following the women’s sprint won by Suvi Minkkinen, the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund (Sweden) will feature a men’s sprint on Saturday. The race kicks off at 4.30pm, with American Paul Schommer, bib number 1, taking the start.

Then, before the start of the first headliners, there will be Thierry Langer (2), Elia Zeni (7), Joscha Burkhalter (9), Fabian Muellauer (12), Renars Birkentals (14) and Isak Frey (15).

In the blue group, Justus Strelow (16) will get the ball rolling, while Jesper Nelin (18), Dmytro Pidruchnyi (20), Philipp Horn (22), Danilo Riethmueller (24), Vitezslav Hornig (26), Emilien Claude (28), Niklas Hartweg (30), Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (32), Maxime Germain (33), Campbell Wright (34), Tero Seppälä (36), Simon Eder (37), Andrejs Rastorgujevs (38), Michal Krcmar (40), the yellow bib Johan-Olav Botn (41) and Antonin Guigonnat (42) will follow.

Martin Ponsiluoma (44) will then launch the red group of favourites. Sebastian Stalder (45), Sturla Holm Laegreid (46), Jakov Fak (48), Martin Uldal (50), Quentin Fillon-Maillet (52), Vitalii Mandzyn (53), Sebastian Samuelsson (54), Endre Stroemsheim (56), Florent Claude (57), Tommaso Giacomel (58), Fabien Claude (60), Emilien Jacquelin (62), Eric Perrot (64), Philipp Nawrath (66) and the blue bib of Jakob Kulbin (67) in the starting gate.
