17:19. Thanks to her victory in the sprint at the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund (Sweden) on Friday afternoon, Finland’s Suvi Minkkinen has taken over the overall lead and will wear the yellow bib for the very first time in her career in the pursuit on Sunday.
With 116 points, she is 2 ahead of Dorothea Wierer (114) , while Anna Magnusson (109) is just 7 behind. The first Frenchwoman, Camille Bened (93) is fourth, followed by Lou Jeanmonnot (85) in sixth place and Océane Michelon (91) in seventh.
In just over a week’s time, at the sprint inHochfilzen (Austria), Suvi Minkkinen will also don the red bib as leader of the speciality. It is still Norway’s Maren Kirkeeide (70) who wears the blue bib of the best U23.
