Biathlon: another podium finish for Les Bleus at the IBU Cup
This Saturday, the 2024/2025 IBU Cup biathlon season comes to a close with the mixed events in Otepää (Estonia). The day kicked off at the beginning of the morning with the mixed relay. In a race marked by several upsets, it was finally the Germans Roman Rees, Simon Kaiser, Stefanie Scherer and Lisa Maria Spark who won.

With just 6 picks to their name, the German team took full advantage of their opponents’ mistakes on the shooting range to claim victory. First, it was the France of Damien Levet, Gaëtan Paturel, Célia Henaff and Paula Botet who put themselves out of the running for victory, before Norway (Sivert Guttorm Bakken, Johan-Olav Botn, Karoline Erdal, Juni Arnekleiv) cracked on the last shot, spinning four times on the ring.

In the end, the Germans crossed the finish line alone, with France (2+14), at 49 sec 9, second and Norway (6+14), at 1 min 10 sec 4, third. Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and Switzerland followed in the rankings.
