Biathlon: Johan-Olav Botn wins in Estonia ahead of four compatriots
A few hours after the women’s race, dominated by Gilonne Guigonnat, it was the men’s turn to start the pursuit at the IBU Biathlon Cup in Otepää (Estonia) this Saturday lunchtime.
This race once again saw a Norwegian demonstration. Johan-Olav Botn (19/20), fourth at the gun, won solo ahead of Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen (19/20) and Johannes Dale-Skjevdal (17/20). In fourth place, Isak Frey (16/20) secured the big globe, while Sivert Guttorm Bakken (17/20) took fifth place.

Germany’s Lucas Fratzscher (18/20) completed the flower ceremony. Simon Kaiser (18/20) and Roman Rees (20/20) followed, before Frenchmen Damien Levet (19/20), in ninth place, and Théo Guiraud-Poillot (18/20), in tenth place, entered the top 10. Antonin Delsol (14/20), the other Frenchman in the running, was twenty-sixth.
