Biathlon: Anastasiya Kuzmina in trouble
When the Slovakian selection for the World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland) was announced, the Slovakian Biathlon Association indicated that its star Anastasiya Kuzmina preferred to train in Norway and take part in the IBU Cup in Geilo (Norway) before taking to the big circuit in Hochfilzen (Austria).
In the end, it was not to be. Although she was present in Geilo last week, she appeared to be out of form (67th in the individual, 54th in the sprint, lapped in the pursuit). As a result, she will not be competing in Austria in the next few days, as the staff have decided to bring back Paulina Batovska Fialkova, Maria Remenova, Zuzana Remenova and Ema Kapustova.

On Instagram, she announced that she would be competing in the IBU Cup in Obertilliach (Austria) just before Christmas.
There has been one change in the men’s squad with the arrival of Simon Adamov, who started the season in the IBU Cup, in place of Matej Badan, who has been retained in the Junior Cup. Tomas Sklenarik, Damian Cesnek and Jakub Borgula are continuing their World Cup careers.
