Biathlon: a second career small globe for Lou Jeanmonnot
Winner of the first two individual races held this winter in Kontiolahti (Finland) and Ruhpolding (Germany), Lou Jeanmonnot was in a very good position to win the small crystal globe of the speciality this Thursday after the race in Pokljuka (Slovenia).
Seventh in the race at 18/20, the Doubiste skier secured the trophy and in doing so won her first small globe of the winter, the second of her career after the mass-start she won in Canmore (Canada) in March 2024.

She succeeds Lisa Vittozzi (2019, 2023, 2024), Marketa Davidova (2022), Lisa Theresa Hauser (2021), Dorothea Wierer (2016, 2021), Hanna Oeberg (2020), Nadezhda Skardino (2018, Laura Dahlmeier (2017), Kaisa Mäkäräinen (2015), Gabriela Soukalova (2014) and Tora Berger (2013).
Lou Jeanmonnot forms the (small) circle of seven Frenchwomen to have won a small World Cup speciality globe , along with Anne Briand, Emmanuelle Claret, Sandrine Bailly, Sylvie Becaert, Julia Simon and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. The Franc-Comtoise native is also the first Frenchwoman to win the individual globe.
