Biathlon: France’s women’s B team prepares as closely as possible to Group A
While the composition of the French biathlon team’s various training groups was unveiled at the end of April, Nordic Magazine this week reveals the schedule for the preparation of the different teams.
Following on from the A groups, the schedule for the French B women’s team is now under the microscope. As Stéphane Bouthiaux announced in these columns a few days ago, the vast majority of the summer training camps will be shared with the A squad.
At the start of May (12-14), Baptiste Desthieux and Julien Robert’s students will begin their preparation in Prémanon (Jura). The next two courses (26-31 May and 23-29 June) will also take place at the CNSNMM.
In Prémanon in September when the senior team are on training camp in Antholz
Paula Botet, Sophie Chauveau, Camille Bened, Anaëlle Bondoux, Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, Célia Henaff, Gilonne Guigonnat and Amandine Mengin will then meet in Ceillac (Hautes-Alpes) from 16 to 25 July. Between 12 and 23 August, Les Bleues will be in Bessans (Savoie).
Finally, the last few months of preparation will be filled with gatherings organised in Prémanon (11-19 September), while the senior team will be in Antholz (Italy), then on the snow in Ramsau (Austria), from 7 to 16 October, and Bessans, from 5 to 18 November.
In September, the French riders will take part in the Summer Tour d’Arçon (Doubs) and in October in La Féclaz (Savoie).
