Biathlon: a summer at altitude in France before an autumn abroad for Les Bleues
While the composition of the French biathlon team’s various training groups was unveiled at the end of April, Nordic Magazine this week reveals the schedule for the preparation of the different teams.
The French women’s senior team, comprising Lou Jeanmonnot, Julia Simon, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Océane Michelon and Jeanne Richard, will kick off their training season on 12 May with a three-day training camp in Prémanon (Jura).
Then, after the CNOSF’s pre-Olympic gathering on the Presqu’île de Giens (Var) from 26 to 30 May, the Tricolores will gather again at Prémanon from 23 to 29 June.

It was then that the Tricolores, under the guidance of Cyril Burdet, Jean-Paul Giachino and Patrick Favre, got down to the nitty-gritty, with training sessions in Ceillac (Hautes-Alpes) from 15 to 25 July, followed by Bessans (Savoie) from 12 to 23 August.
At the start of the autumn, the French women will meet in Antholz (Italy) from 8 to 18 September before taking part in the Summer Tour in Arçon (Doubs). This will be the last course without snow, asa visit to Ramsau (Austria) from 7 to 17 October, ahead of the Loop One Festival in Munich (Germany), is planned.
Finally, the now customary terminal course at Bessans (Savoie) is scheduled from 7 to 18 November.
