Biathlon: Eric Perrot on fire in Geilo
This Sunday afternoon, the mass-start of the Norwegian biathlon opening races in Geilo (Norway) was the final dress rehearsal with less than two weeks to go before the World Cup resumes.
It was an event that Peiserot Eric Perrot mastered perfectly, dominating this direct confrontation of a very high level with head and shoulders. With the only 20/20 of the day and the attitude of a boss, the Frenchman made his mark, putting himself in contention for the big globe.

I’m really proud to have been able to ride a clean race, as I wanted to,” he explained to La Chaîne L’Equipe in the mixed zone. On top of that, it’s great because I was in the lead for the whole race. It’s a bit of personal pride.
After this demonstration, Ole Einar Bjoerndalen sees him as “a complete biathlete”.
Speaking to TV2, the legend Ole Einar Bjoerndalen highlighted Eric Perrot’s qualities : “He’s a complete biathlete, excellent both on the track and in shooting. He’s confirmed his performances from last year and I think he’ll be the most formidable opponent for the Norwegians this year.

The biathlete from Peisey-Vallandry (Savoie) prefers to remember the way he managed to shine rather than the results themselves.
Once again, the result isn’t more important than that, it’s more the way I managed to get through the race that I’m pleased with,” he confirms. It validates a very good preparation.
