Biathlon: Emilien Claude at the World Military Games
From this Tuesday, Emilien Claude will be taking part in his first Military World Winter Games. In 2023, the biathlete from Basse-sur-le-Rupt (Vosges) was able to don the camouflage suit of the Army of Champions for the first time at the World Military Championships in Boden (Sweden).
This time, the 25-year-old from the Vosges is lining up for the flagship competition, organised this week in Lucerne (Switzerland) for the first time since 2017.
“I’m really happy to be going, even though it’s the end of the season, he told Nordic Magazine a few days ago. It’s a great event in which I’m proud to represent the French Army as a whole. Thanks to them, we can make a living from our sport and get good results in the World Cup.”
Although Emilien Claude is sure to be tired at the end of a gruelling season that came to an end on Sunday afternoon in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), he intends to make the most of it. “It’s always a great atmosphere where, as well as competing, you get to discover other sports. Even though it’s going to be a tough week, I’m looking forward to it because it’s a great experience,” he concludes.
