At 5.30pm on Saturday 10 May, Quentin Fillon-Maillet shared a special moment in his village of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux, in the Jura region of France. The biathlete, who won four new world medals last February at the World Biathlon Championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland), was celebrated by more than 500 people, as reported byIci.

Welcomed like a true star, the Jura native took advantage of the evening to chat and take a few photos with his many supporters. Throughout the event, there was a succession of entertainments before a quiz hosted directly by the 32-year-old biathlete.

“It’s a source of pride. I did this sport without necessarily expecting any recognition in return. So I’m touched because it’s a great recognition of my investment and my results“, admitted the Grandvallier in the village gymnasium. And I’m also proud to have so many people here. I need you to keep going!
