Biathlon: who will win the last three tickets to the World Cup finals?
Since Sunday evening and the official announcement by Cyril Burdet of the future selection of nine French women for the biathlon World Cup finals in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), there has been a lot of talk about the names of the athletes who will have the chance to be selected.
Behind Lou Jeanmonnot, Julia Simon, Jeanne Richard, Océane Michelon and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, all guaranteed to be in Norway, four tickets are available.

The first prize has already been awarded, to Amandine Mengin from the Vosges who, under point 15.6.3.a. of the IBU’s rules governing events and competitions, benefits from a nominative quota as the best athlete at the Junior World Championships.
No automatic ticket for the winner of the IBU Cup big globe
The last three places could be awarded to any of the following athletes: Sophie Chauveau, who took part in the World Cup but performed poorly, Paula Botet, Gilonne Guigonnat, Camille Bened and Voldiya Galmace-Paulin.
Obviously, the week’s races in Pokljuka (Slovenia) and the IBU Cup in Otepää (Estonia) will be decisive in guiding the choice of the French staff.

With one important clarification. The IBU’s rules for events and competitions do not give the winner of the IBU Cup Grand Globe a nominative quota for the World Cup Finals.
Camille Bened and Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, who are currently battling for the crystal globe on the B circuit, will not be guaranteed a place in Oslo-Holmenkollen if they win. Even if, of course, that final victory will weigh heavily in the balance.
