Biathlon: Guillaume Poirot on the podium in the sprint won by David Elias
To round off the first leg of the 2024/2025 Junior Cup biathlon competition in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna (Italy), France claimed another podium finish. It was Guillaume Poirot from the Vosges, who won the second men’s sprint of the weekend.

The 9/10 winner, who is coached by Léo Ponceot and Véronique Claudel in the Vosges Elite Ski Team, skied an excellent time to snatch third place… three tenths of a second ahead of Germany’s Elias Seidl (8/10). Victory went to Czech David Elias (9/10), while Poland’s Grzegorz Galica (9/10) was second.

The flower ceremony was completed by Switzerland’s Silvano Demarmels (10/10) and Savoyard Ian Martinet (9/10), sixth. As for the other Blues, Lionel Jouannaud (7/10) was twenty-third, Edgar Geny (6/10) twenty-seventh, Léo Carlier (6/10) thirtieth, Lou Thiévent (7/10) thirty-fourth and Benjamin De Grimaudet De Rochebouet (7/10) fifty-fourth.
