Biathlon | Rollerskiing: see you in 2026 for the next Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival
On Tuesday afternoon, the organisers of the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival announced its future on their social networks. Organised for many years in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) on the last weekend in August or the first in September, it will not be taking place in 2025 following the withdrawal of support from the town in Haute-Savoie.
“We’ve taken the time to think about the future of the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival, he begins. Our thirst for meetings and festivities remains undiminished! As does our desire to shine the spotlight on Nordic sports and, more broadly, French skiing, its champions, its economy and its resorts.”
“Over the last few months, we’ve had the opportunity to visit a number of sites that have expressed an interest in hosting the festival, he continues. We’d like to thank them for this, as we were extremely touched by these spontaneous requests. However, we have not been able to bring together all the criteria needed to guarantee the identity and success of the Nordic Festival. We have therefore decided not to organise another Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival in 2025.”
However, the MFNF is not dead: “We are actively working to find the ideal place to meet you again in the summer of 2026”, it is finally written.
