On Thursday, less than an hour before the start of the individual women’s biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding (Germany), Germany’s Julia Tannheimer withdrew from the competition. However, wearing number 20, she had taken part in the shooting trials.

“She is suffering from a slight bronchial infection and will be taken care of today as a single for safety reasons”, said theGerman Ski Association in a statement.
