This Thursday morning, 116 points separated Franziska Preuss, leader of the overall ranking and wearing the yellow bib, from Lou Jeanmonnot, her runner-up. After the individual biathlon world cup race in Ruhpolding (Germany), the German’s advantage has narrowed.
The Doubiste rider won brilliantly at 20/20, beating second-placed Franziska Preuss (19/20) by 35 sec 7. As a result, the Frenchwoman (573) clawed back 15 lengths from her rival (674) and moved back to 101 points in the overall rankings. Elvira Oeberg (481) remains third while Suvi Minkkinen (409) moves up to fourth ahead of Julia Simon (395), Océane Michelon (367), Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (366) and Jeanne Richard (361).

Meanwhile, Lou Jeanmonnot (180), by winning the second individual race of the season just a few weeks after winning the first, has consolidated her position as leader in the speciality rankings and retained her red bib. In Pokljuka (Slovenia) in March, she will be competing for the small globe with a clear lead over her rivals.
