Biathlon: Eric Perrot goes behind the scenes of his Olympic preparations
On Saturday, 24-year-old Peiserot biathlete Eric Perrot published the first of four episodes of his web series entitled “Objectif Milano 2026”. As the name suggests, the aim of the Savoyard biathlete with three world titles is to reveal to the public the little secrets of his Olympic preparations. All under the watchful eye of his younger brother Marius Perrot.
My brother and I do it for ourselves,” he tells Nordic Magazine. It’s something personal. After our first project [“Un été chez les Perrot”, published at the beginning of 2025, editor’s note], we wanted to improve and do better, even if it’s still amateurish. We enjoyed doing it, but we wanted to do more and do it differently. That’s what keeps us going!

As a result, the duo have embarked on a different format, with four shorter episodes of no more than a quarter of an hour. “We like to spend time together filming and putting together projects. There’s not that much ambition behind it, we just enjoy doing it, and so much the better if it speaks to certain people,” says Eric Perrot. That’s in stark contrast to my career, where I’m always looking to develop something bigger and more ambitious. This is just between us, simple and minimalist.
“The storytelling is simple: my preparations for the Games”.
With the individual world champion about to embark on an Olympic season where he will be aiming for the ultimate prize, could this project cause him to lose momentum?
Anything can take energy, it just depends on how you look at it,” he replies. I see it as something that energises me because I’m doing it with my brother and I have no ambitions. It’s just for fun. The aim is that it doesn’t take up any energy and doesn’t weigh too much.

The content of the web series is unsurprisingly focused on the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
“I do my sessions, my programme and Marius comes along to film these moments. The storytelling is simple: my preparation for the Games. But we’re not going to create anything. If I get injured, I get injured, but I must admit that I didn’t plan to get injured in episode 3,” he laughs. The Games are my career objective and the idea is to show a few specific points of what I’m doing to reach that objective, particularly around altitude.
Showing the calm moments before a major event
The next episode will look back at his stay in Tenerife (Spain) this autumn. The aim is to make episodes that are easy to watch and short,” he continues. If you just want to see the beautiful scenery and what’s going on that’s not usually seen, that’s possible, and if you want some training content, there’s that too!

“The aim is to share the good times we’re having in a very simple way, especially before the big events. I like the contrast between home, where everything is calm, simple and peaceful, and the Olympics, when everything is going to be overblown and big. I do the same discipline, but within a few days of each other, I go from a very natural environment to the middle of a bees’ nest”, concludes Eric Perrot.
