Biathlon: gold for Anna-Karin Heijdenberg in the mass start at Sollefteå
After the sprints, the mass-starts were on the programme this Saturday at the Swedish Biathlon Championships in Sollefteå (Sweden). To kick off the day, the women were on deck and there was a great battle between the great women of the kingdom.

Leading after the prone shots, Elvira Oeberg (17/20) broke down in the first standing shot, missing three targets. This opened the door for Anna-Karin Heijdenberg (18/20) to take the lead. With a perfect shot on the last pass over the mats, she won 13 sec 1 ahead of Elvira Oeberg and 20 sec 0 ahead of Johanna Skottheim (18/20).

Hanna Oeberg (16/20) had to make do with fourth place, whileAnna Magnusson (17/20) and Ella Halvarsson (14/20) rounded out the day’s top 6.
