Biathlon: Sophie Chauveau at the Worlds
This Saturday afternoon, following the conclusion of theIBU Biathlon Cup in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna (Italy), the verdict was in in the race for sixth place in the women’s world championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland).
Sophie Chauveau, Gilonne Guigonnat and Paula Botet were all up against each other during the week in Italy for the right to be a substitute, but it is the Bornandine who has secured her place for Switzerland. The announcement was made at the end of the day by Stéphane Bouthiaux, director of the French teams, to Nordic Magazine.

Fifth in the sprint, third in the pursuit and then winner of the mass-start 60 on this round of the B circuit, Sophie Chauveau has well earned her place at the Worlds. Opposite her, Gilonne Guigonnat has hardly shone in recent days, while Paula Botet failed to confirm her second place in the sprint.
