Juni Arnekleiv has been struggling on the biathlon World Cup circuit since the start of the season in Kontiolahti (Finland). Her best result was a timid twentieth place in the first mass-start of the winter, but the Norwegian has never found the solution to turn the corner.
With just a few days to go before the third stage of the circuit, organised on the slopes of Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie), the Scandinavian has decided to put the arrow in the air even before competing in the final races of 2024. She explained her decision on Instagram.
So far this season, my body hasn’t responded as well as I’d hoped, so I’ve decided to take a break before the last races before Christmas,” she explains. I’m going to rest and I hope to come back stronger in 2025.”
