Biathlon: Doubiste Oscar Lombardot gains confidence at La Féclaz
In less than a month’s time, Oscar Lombardot will have his mind made up. Competing with Antonin Guigonnat and Gaëtan Paturel for the last World Cup place, he will have to beat his compatriots in the opening Norwegian races in Geilo (Norway).

With four weeks to go before this major event, the Doubiste native showed his strength in the Summer Tour biathlon sprint at La Féclaz (Savoie).

After coming out of the last shoot (9/10) 11 sec 3 behind Gaëtan Paturel (10/10), he really let his horses loose in the final wheel-skiing lap to win by a margin of 12 sec 2 over his rival from Haute-Savoie.

At 25.6 seconds, Nathanaël Peaquin (9/10) from Savoie completed the day’s podium, just ahead of Léo Carlier (8/10) from the Franc-Comtois region, fourth overall and winner in the U21 category in which he is now guaranteed to be crowned French summer biathlon champion in 2025.

Antonin Guigonnat (8/10) finished in the top 5, while Martin Botet (8/10), Axel Garnier (6/10), Damien Levet (10/10), Clément Pirès (9/10), second U21, and Benjamin de Grimaudet de Rochebouët (9/10), third U21, all finished in the top 10.

Newcomer Jacques Jefferies (9/10) was eleventh, Mathieu Garcia (8/10) twelfth, Flavio Guy (8/10) thirteenth, Théo Guiraud-Poillot (9/10) fourteenth and Guillaume Poirot (7/10) fifteenth, Antonin Guy (10/10) in eighteenth, Antonin Delsol (7/10) in twenty-second, Corentin Jacob (7/10) in twenty-fifth, Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (7/10) in twenty-ninth and Rémi Broutier (6/10) in thirty-eighth.
