Biathlon: a competition exclusive to supporters of the county
The 10th Challenge Biathlon Comté is being held this Tuesday 10 February in Arçon (Doubs). Initiated to promote the partnership between the Comté industry and the French Ski Federation since 2013, this Challenge gives milk producers, cheese-makers, ripeners and industry employees the chance to slip into the shoes of biathletes for the duration of a race.
This friendly gathering kicks off with a morning session open to milk producers in the Comté sector. 27 teams of four relayers will take part in these first relays. In the afternoon, 18 teams of cheese-makers and ripeners will take their turn at the start after a festive lunch together.

Unfortunately, this year the snow does not allow cross-country skiing. The event will therefore be run.
On the other hand, sports fans will have their eyes riveted to the screen to follow the exploits of the French athletes taking part in the individual biathlon event at the Olympics from 1.30pm ! Supporters from the Comté region will be on hand to cheer on the ‘real’ biathletes.
