Biathlon: the names of the French participants in the first Loop One Festival on 19 October in Munich
On 19 October, the very first Loop One Festival, a biathlon show organised by the IBU in the form of super sprints, will be held in the Olympic Park in Munich (Germany) to open the Olympic season. Although the event is an exhibition and will not award World Cup points, it will be contested by the world’s best biathletes.
For the French team, as revealed several weeks ago in our columns, no fewer than nine places are available.

For the top five nations in the world, of which we are one, it’s a maximum of four quotas, but the top fifteen overall are all invited, which gives us an extra ticket for the women,” Stéphane Bouthiaux, director of the French biathlon teams, tells Nordic Magazine. In fact, we’re the only nation that can do that.
Biathletes not selected for the Summer Tour at La Féclaz
The Franc-Comtois also announced the names of the lucky winners: “Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Emilien Jacquelin, Fabien Claude and Eric Perrot for the boys, and Lou Jeanmonnot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Julia Simon, Océane Michelon and Jeanne Richard for the women”.

At the same time, Emilien Claude, Oscar Lombardot, Antonin Guigonnat, Paula Botet, Camille Bened, Gilonne Guigonnat and Sophie Chauveau, who all shone in the World Cup last winter but were unable to secure a place in the IBU show, will be competing in the Summer Tour at La Féclaz (Savoie).
These competitions will follow the altitude preparation courses organised in Font-Romeu (Pyrénées-Orientales) for the men and Ramsau (Austria) for the women.
