Biathlon: time for the European championships
While the Biathlon World Cup takes a break following the Oberhof/Ruhpolding/Antholz triptych, the IBU Cup circuit is back in action this week for the 2025 European Championships.
The competition takes place in Martell-Val Martello (Italy) between Wednesday and Sunday. The first day will be reserved for the individuals (10.30 am for the women, 2.30 pm for the men). On Friday, the sprints will be on the programme (10:45 for the women, 14:15 for the men), followed by the pursuits on Saturday (11:00 for the women, 13:45 for the men).
Finally, for the first time since 2015, gender-specific relays will take place during the continental competition. On Sunday, the women will take to the track from 10.45am, followed by the men from 1.45pm.

- 10.30 am: Women’s 15 km individual
- 2.30pm: Men’s 20 km individual
Friday 31st January
- 10.45: women’s 7.5 km sprint
- 2.15pm: Men’s 10km sprint
Saturday 1st February
- 11.00: women’s 10 km pursuit
- 1.45pm: Men’s 12.5 km pursuit
Sunday 2 February
- 10.45am: Women’s 4x6km relay
- 1.45pm: Men’s 4×7.5km relay
