Biathlon: off to Geilo for the IBU Cup
After last week’s opening event in Idre Fjäll (Sweden), the IBU Cup continues over the next few days in Geilo (Norway), venue for the second leg of the biathlon world cup satellite circuit. Three individual races will be held in a stadium that is unaccustomed to international events, and which has replaced Sjusjøen (Norway) at short notice.
The week kicks off on Wednesday with individual races (10.30am and 1.50pm), the first of the IBU Cup season. On Friday, sprints are scheduled (10.20am and 2.00pm), followed by pursuits on Saturday (11.00am and 1.45pm).
For these races in Geilo, France will be represented, as announced several weeks ago, by Camille Bened, Fany Bertrand, Anaëlle Bondoux, Paula Botet, Chloé Chevalier, Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, Théo Guiraud-Poillot, Oscar Lombardot, Axel Garnier, Gaëtan Paturel, Martin Botet and Damien Levet.
The latter two will be kicking off their international season at the same time, taking over from Antonin Guigonnat and Emilien Claude, who went up in the World Cup.
