Biathlon: the World Cup comes to Nove Mesto this week
After the first five stages in Östersund (Sweden), Hochfilzen (Austria) and Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie) in December, followed by Oberhof (Germany) and Ruhpolding (Germany) after the New Year, the 2025/2026 Biathlon World Cup continues its journey this week in the Czech Republic.
The sixth round of the winter season takes place in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic). Four days of competition are scheduled at the Vysocina Arena, which has been used to hosting world-class events for the last ten years.

On Thursday, a men’s individual short race will take place in the evening (6.15pm), while the following day, also at 6.15pm, thewomen’s individual short race will be run. Then, on Saturday, mixed events will be on the programme, with a mixed single relay scheduled for 1.15pm, followed by a mixed relay at 3.10pm.
Finally, Sunday will see the mass-starts, the last races to be contested before the 2026 Olympics, take place: starting at 3.15pm for the men and at 6.15pm for the women.
