Biathlon: Skidskyttekampen before the Nove Mesto World Cup
This Monday, the second edition of the Skidskyttekampen took place in the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm (Sweden). On the athletics track that hosted the 1912 Olympics, snow from Idre Fjäll (Sweden) was used to lay out a track just over a kilometre long.
A shooting range has also been set up opposite the stadium’s north stand to allow this biathlon show to take place, featuring two French duos: Justine Braisaz-Bouchet/Emilien Jacquelin on one side and Océane Michelon/Eric Perrot on the other.
The competition programme, contested in the early evening in the format of a mixed single relay, will kick off with the qualifying heats, separated into two series (6.07pm and 6.35pm). The top finishers and the six fastest times will advance to the final, scheduled for 7.35pm.
The six doublettes eliminated will have to play individual mass-starts for each gender (7.05pm for the women, 7.20pm for the men).
