Biathlon: ten Italians at the World Championships in Lenzerheide
On Wednesday lunchtime, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) announced the squad for the biathlon world championships scheduled to take place in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) from 12 to 23 February.
Unsurprisingly, Dorothea Wierer will lead the women’s group and will be taking part in her last career World Championships. Michela Carrara, Samuela Comola, Martina Trabucchi and Hannah Auchentaller are also in the squad.

On the men’s side, Tommaso Giacomel, with three podium finishes in the last three individual World Cup races, is the leader. Lukas Hofer, Daniele Cappellari, Elia Zeni and Didier Bionaz will also be in Switzerland.
