Biathlon: still no Lisa Vittozzi
On Thursday lunchtime, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) announced the composition of its squad for next week’ s Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof (Germany).
It was hoped that Lisa Vittozzi, who was hampered by back problems in December, would make a comeback to competition, but it was not to be. Her medical bulletin states that she is “continuing her recovery”.

Dorothea Wierer, Hannah Auchentaller, Michela Carrara, Samuela Comola, Martina Trabucchi and rookie Ilaria Scattolo, who won the IBU Cup before Christmas, have been selected.
On the men’s side, we have Lukas Hofer, Didier Bionaz, Elia Zeni, Patrick Braunhofer, Tommaso Giacomel and new boy Marco Barale in Thuringia in a few days’ time.
