Biathlon: the 2025/2026 World Cup kicks off in just 10 days’ time
While the world’s top biathletes are currently putting the finishing touches to their preparations for the 2025/2026 season by getting back on their skis and putting on their bibs, the D-10 mark before the start arrives this Wednesday. In exactly 10 days’ time, on Saturday 29 November, the World Cup winter season kicks off in Östersund (Sweden).
It’s worth remembering that the first stage of the competition will consist of gender-specific relays, followed by mixed relays the next day. This first stage will continue the following week with individuals, sprints and pursuits.

There will then be a series of races before the Christmas holidays in Hochfilzen (Austria) and Annecy– Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie). At the beginning of January, the sequence will be classic with Oberhof (Germany) and Ruhpolding (Germany), followed by Nove Mesto (Czech Republic).
End of season for Kontiolahti, Otepää and Oslo-Holmenkollen
TheAntholz (Italy) site will be used in February for the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

Finally, after the prestigious quadrennial competition, the World Cup will conclude in Kontiolahti (Finland), Otepää (Estonia), which returns to the calendar a year before hosting the World Championships, and Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway). It is in the Norwegian capital that the crystal globes will be awarded.
