Biathlon: a difficult start for Les Bleus at the World University Games
This Tuesday morning, at the Pragelato stadium (Italy), the biathlon events of the Turin 2025 World University Games got underway with the men’s individual short.
In this 15km competition, it was Ukrainian Bohdan Borkovskyi who dominated the proceedings. With 17/20, and above all the best time on the cross-country track, he beat Finland’s Patrik Kuuttinen, who clocked the only 20/20 of the morning, by 25 sec 5 to take the gold medal.

Czech Petr Hak (18/20) took bronze at 29 sec 2 ahead of Ukrainians Serhii Suprun (18/20) and Vladyslav Chykhar (17/20). The top 10 was completed by Kazakh Nikita Akimov (17/20), Swede Hjalmar Gedda (17/20), German Frederik Madersbach Eide (19/20), Czech Ludek Abraham (16/20) and Finn Kalle Loukkaanhuhta (15/20).
A difficult race for the French clan withBornandin Paul Fontaine in fourteenth place (15/20), Adrien Baylac in twenty-first (16/20) and Nathanaël Peaquin in twenty-third (13/20).
