Biathlon: Amélie Broutier eighth in the sprint at the World University Games
A few hours after the men’s race, it was the women’s turn to compete in the biathlon sprint of the Turin 2025 World University Games early on Saturday afternoon.
In Pragelato (Italy), the French were aiming for a medal… but without success. Savoyard Amélie Broutier (6/10) put in the best performance of the day, coming eighth. Noémie Remonnay (4/10), with the best ski time, was eleventh and Lisa Siberchicot (5/10) thirteenth.
The gold medal went to Poland’s Barabara Skrobiszewska (9/10), who won 54.6 seconds ahead of her compatriot Amelia Liszka (9/10) and 1 min 3 sec 2 ahead of Kazakhstan’s Arina Kryukova (8/10).
