Biathlon: no medal for Les Bleus in the mixed singles relay at the World University Games
This Thursday morning, the mixed singles biathlon relay of the Turin 2025 World University Games was on the programme at the Pragelato venue (Italy). Noémie Remonnay and Paul Fontaine, the best Tricolores in Tuesday’s individual short races, represented Les Bleus.

However, the French duo were never in contention for the podium, their objective in this highly electric format. With a total of 13 picks, but without a penalty lap, Noémie Remonnay and Paul Fontaine took sixth place in this race dominated by Ukrainians Oleksandra Merkushyna and Serhii Suprun (0+8).

On the second step of the podium was the Czech Republic of Svatava Mikyskova and Petr Hak, in silver. Fourth after the last shot, they managed to overtake in the final kilometres the Poland of Anna Nedza-Kubiniec and Jakub Potoniec, in bronze, andthe Kazakhstan of Polina Yegorova and Nikita Akimov.
