Biathlon: Noémie Remonnay misses out on a medal
In 2023, at the World University Games in Lake Placid (USA), Poland’s Barbara Skrobiszewska won two medals: silver in the individual event and bronze in the pursuit. This year, at the Pragelato (Italy) venue for the 2025 edition of the university event, she has done much better.

Although she finished twelfth in the opening individual short, she has been on cloud nine ever since. A clear winner of the sprint two days ago, she set off early on Monday afternoon with a margin of almost a minute over her first runner-up at the start of the pursuit. Managing her race perfectly, scoring a 10/10 on the prone shots and then three errors in the standing position, Barbara Skrobiszewska (17/20) won her second gold medal in a row.
Amélie Broutier closes the top 10
Behind her in the rankings are her compatriot Amelia Liszka (18/20), who won silver for the third time in a row in Italy, and Ukraine’s Daryna Chalyk (15/20). Oleksandra Merkushyna (16/20) finished just off the podium, while Doubiste’s Noémie Remonnay (15/20), who was in with a chance of a medal on the last shot before missing two targets, was fifth.

Amélie Broutier (13/20) was tenth and Lisa Siberchicot (13/20) fourteenth.
