Biathlon: the Swiss selections take place this week in Lenzerheide
The last time the Swiss biathletes raced on the snow in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) was last February at the 2025 World Championships. This week, the huge and noisy grandstand in front of the shooting range will no longer be there, but the tension will be there for all to see at the Swiss selections held on the snowfarm in the canton of Grisons.
It has to be said that, from this Wednesday at the start of a sprint at 9.30am, two World Cup tickets will be up for grabs in both the women’s and men’s categories.

Lena Haecki-Gross, Aita Gasparin, Lea Meier, Amy Baserga, Niklas Hartweg, Joscha Burkhalter and Sebastien Stalder have already secured their places on the plane to Östersund (Sweden).
Coralie Langel, who is unable to play in the World Cup, will start the winter in the IBU Cup.
The other tickets will be snapped up by Susanna Meinen, Irene Cadurisch, Alessia Laager, Lydia Mettler and Anja Fischer, Gion Stalder, Jeremy Finello, James Pacal, Dajan Danuser, Arnaud Du Pasquier, Sandro Bovisi, Mathias Riebli and Felix Ullmann.
Coralie Langel, who is about to experience her first Swiss winter, is pre-qualified for the IBU Cup and is legally unable to compete for a World Cup place from the start of the season. With no IBU points to her name for the last two years, she absolutely must return to the B circuit.

Finally, a sprint pursuit will be held over the weekend to award tickets for the IBU Cup and Junior Cup.
