Biathlon: Norway’s coaches have made up their minds
The verdict is in. At midday on Monday, theNorwegian Biathlon Association publicly unveiled the list of thirteen biathletes selected for the first round of the World Cup, scheduled for 30 November to 8 December in Kontiolahti (Finland).
While Johannes Thingnes Boe, Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen, Tarjei Boe, Sturla Holm Lægreid, Endre Stroemsheim and Johannes Dale-Skjevdal have had a place assured since the spring, the last ticket was up for grabs in the last few days at the races in Sjusjøen (Norway).
Vebjoern Soerum, second in the sprint and thirty-second in the mass-start, secured the precious ticket. Martin Uldal and Johan-Olav Botn, in that order, are reservists and will have to make do with the IBU Cup.

Joining Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, Juni Arneklevi and Karoline Knotten on the women’s side will be Emilie Kalkenberg, Maren Kirkeeide and Gro Randby, who will be making her World Cup debut. Siri Skar and Karoline Erdal, in that order, have been named as reserves and will compete in the IBU Cup.
