08:56. The summer biathlon season is always full of unpleasant surprises for international athletes. In the last few hours, Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen has been one of them. On his Instagram account, the Norwegian revealed that he had suffered a nasty fall while cycling.
In his story, the Scandinavian colossus revealed a photo of his left arm, badly bruised by his misadventure. However, after being quickly contacted by numerous media outlets in the UK, the 33-year-old biathlete was keen to reassure everyone. “I had new tyres on my mountain bike and I wanted to check my grip on the bend. I think I found it,” he joked to NRK. I’ve got deep cuts on my elbow and a sore hip, but I’ll be back on the bike tomorrow morning.
