Biathlon: yellow bibs out in force at Arçon
Next weekend, at the Summer Tour biathlon in Arçon (Doubs), the last national competition before the return to the snow, the yellow bib of the leader of the U22/Seniors 2024/2025 French Biathlon Cup will be worn.
It has to be said that, according to the points allocation rules published by the French Ski Federation (FFS), the two best results from the four Summer Tour races are retained for the overall U22/Seniors ranking of the following winter’s national circuit. It’s a way for the FFS biathlon commission to showcase its French Cup and its leader’s bib at the very popular Doubs competitions.

Last year, it was Emilien Jacquelin and Lou Jeanmonnot who wore the prestigious tunic. On Saturday, during the sprint at Arçon, which will support the French senior championships in this speciality, it will be Océane Michelon and Eric Perrot who will have the honour of donning this distinctive number.
Océane Michelon well ahead after her double in Prémanon
This is because the two Savoyards amassed the most points at the Summer Tour in Prémanon (Jura) last month. On the women’s side, Océane Michelon has 180 points after completing the double at the Tuffes stadium.

Jeanne Richard (130), Julia Simon (120), Anaëlle Bondoux (95) and Paula Botet (85) follow… but at a more than respectable distance. Chloé Chevalier (78), Camille Bened (77), Lou Jeanmonnot (75), Gilonne Guigonnat (74) and Voldiya Galmace-Paulin(71) are also in the top 10.
A tight hierarchy on the men’s side
In the men’s hierarchy, it’s much tighter, withEric Perrot leading with 145 points, 5 more than Quentin Fillon-Maillet (140), 15 more than Emilien Jacquelin (130) and 25 more thanAntonin Guigonnat (120). Oscar Lombardot (92), Fabien Claude (89), Mathieu Garcia (81), Théo Guiraud-Poillot (78), Rémi Broutier (76) and Emilien Claude (71) complete the provisional top 10.

It should be noted that, for the time being and logically, only the pre-race results are taken into account, but that it is the best two placings from the four races of the entire Summer Tour that will be counted in the rankings updated after Arçon.
With her two victories, Océane Michelon is guaranteed to keep her yellow bib throughout the weekend, while it could change shoulders between the sprint and the pursuit on the men’s side.
