Biathlon: the Oeberg sisters, Martin Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson lead Sweden’s Group A
At midday on Monday, theSwedish Biathlon Association unveiled its senior national team for the 2025/2026 training season. With the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games in their sights, all the big names from the kingdom are on the list.
The men’s squad includes Anton Ivarsson, Jesper Nelin, Malte Stefansson, Viktor Brandt and the two leaders Martin Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson. After two years in Group A, Emil Nykvist has been dropped from the squad and will train on his own.
In the women’s category, the big news is the return of Johanna Skottheim to the squad after a year in the Östersund (Sweden)-based team of rejects.
There will be eight of them in Group A: Anna Magnusson, Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, Ella Halvarsson, Elvira Oeberg, Hanna Oeberg, Sara Andersson and Linn Gestblom.
