Biathlon: thirteen French athletes selected for the IBU Cup in Lenzerheide
On Monday afternoon, the French Ski Federation (FFS ) unveiled the list of biathletes selected for the third round of the 2025/2026 IBU Cup in Lenzerheide (Switzerland).
On the 2025 World Championships stage, we’ll first see relay silver medallist Emilien Claude. After having to undergo back surgery at the start of September, he has had a tricky start to the season and has been demoted to the IBU Cup by the staff to make way for the very competitive Valentin Lejeune.
Around the Vosgien will be Antonin Guigonnat, Gaëtan Paturel, Damien Levet, Corentin Jacob and Edgar Geny. Geny, who won the French Cup last weekend, replaces Théo Guiraud-Poillot.
On the women’s side, Gilonne Guigonnat and Jeanne Richard – who have just returned from the World Cup – join a group left behind by Paula Botet, who will be performing at Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie). With Voldiya Galmace-Paulin, Sophie Chauveau, Fany Bertrand, Célia Henaff and Amandine Mengin, this makes a group of seven.
The staff will therefore have to make choices about the week’s races, for which France has just six places.
