Biathlon: Norway out in force at the IBU Cup in Idre Fjäll
Following last weekend’s opening sprint and mass-start races in Sjusjøen (Norway), theNorwegian Biathlon Association has made its selection for the first leg of the IBU Cup, scheduled for 28 November to 1 December in Idre Fjäll (Sweden).
Rejected from the World Cup, Martin Uldal and Johan-Olav Botn will lead a most impressive men’s group that also includes Sverre Dahlen Aspenes, Isak Frey, Sindre Fjellheim Jorde and the returning Sivert Guttorm Bakken. It should be noted that Mats Oeverby, holder of the IBU Cup trophy, has not even been included after finishing twenty-ninth and fourteenth in Sjusjøen. The reserves are Ole Suhrke and Espen Uldal.

The women’s team includes Siri Skar and Karoline Erdal, the reserves from the World Cup squad, as well as Ragnhild Femsteinevik, Ida Lien, Marit Ishol Skogan and Mari Torsteinsrud. The reserves are Marit Oeygard and Anne Bunemann De Besche.
