Biathlon: Italy with twelve to open the World Cup in Kontiolahti
On Monday evening, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI ) officially unveiled the transalpine line-up for the biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland) , scheduled to open the season from 30 November to 8 December.
On the men’s side, as expected, Tommaso Giacomel, Didier Bionaz, Patrick Braunhofer, Elia Zeni, Lukas Hofer and Daniele Cappellari, back at this level for the first time since March 2023, have been selected.
In the women’s clan, leaders Lisa Vittozzi, who will begin the defence of her Crystal Globe in Finland, and Dorothea Wierer will be joined by Samuela Comola, Hannah Auchentaller, Rebecca Passler and Michela Carrara. Beatrice Trabucchi is the choice of the technical staff: she will start her winter in the IBU Cup.
