At midday on Tuesday, theSwedish Biathlon Association announced the names of the athletes who will be taking part in this week’s World Cup in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic).
While a general stalemate was feared, this will not be the case in the end. While Elvira Oeberg, Linn Gestblom, Hanna Oeberg and Ella Halvarsson will not be travelling to Livigno (Italy) to train at altitude, it has been decided to take Martin Ponsiluoma, Sebastian Samuelsson, Jesper Nelin, Viktor Brandt, Henning Sjoekvist, Malte Stefansson and Anna Magnusson to the Czech Republic.
Anna-Karin Heijdenberg and Anna Magnusson, who are vying for the last Olympic place, have also been selected, while Anna Hedstroem, Annie Lind and Johanna Nordqvist will discover the World Cup in the coming days.
