Biathlon: the names of the Canadians selected for the first three stages of the IBU Cup and the World Cup
Earlier this week, a few days after the end of the selections held in Canmore (Canada), Biathlon Canada unveiled the full list of athletes selected for the first three rounds of the World Cup.
In Kontiolahti (Finland), Hochfilzen (Austria) and Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie), Emma Lunder, Nadia Moser, Pascale Paradis and Shilo Rousseau will be performing. On the men’s side, Adam Runnalls, Logan Pletz, Haldan Borglum and Daniel Gilfillan (only for the relays) have been selected.
As for the IBU Cup, the races in Idre Fjäll (Sweden), Geilo (Norway) and Obertilliach (Austria) will feature Pascale Paradis, Shilo Rousseau, Benita Peiffer, Emily Dickson, Jasper Fleming, Haldan Borglum, Daniel Gilfillan and Lucas Smith – who is being held back after Jean-Nicolas De Broeck withdrew due to university commitments.
With some biathletes also booked for the World Cup, the Canadian quota will not be filled for each of the races in the second block.
